SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) released their weekly awards on Sunday evening and senior, goalkeeper Alex Jorge (Billerica, Mass.) of the men's soccer team took home his third Defensive Player of the Week honor. Over the weekend the Gulls defeated CCC foe, Salve Regina in the CCC Quarterfinals in penalty kicks to advance to the programs first CCC Semifinals since 2005.

Endicott (9-6-4, 4-2-3) will look ahead to Wednesday where they will battle with #1 Nichols in the semifinals. The match is set for a 1:00 p.m. start time in Bison territory. The last time the pair met was back on September 19th where the matched ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

Last week the Gulls went 2-0 as they earned a 1-0 victory over Eastern Nazarene in the regular season finale before defeated Salve Regina in penalty kicks in the quarterfinals.

Senior Alex Jorge had a stellar week between the pipes for the Blue and Green. The goalkeeper wrapped up the regular season with his seventh shutout of the season and helped anchor one of the stealthiest defensive units in program history on just 15 goals allowed in 19 games. In the 1-0 victory over Eastern Nazarene the senior made two saves which crossed over to the CCC Quarterfinals where he again allowed zero goals and made four saves in the PK victory. Endicott will advance to the Semifinals for the first time since 2005 with the help of Jorge.
