BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott junior Tommy Hughes (Coram, N.Y.) has claimed Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men's Lacrosse Specialist of the Week honors, as announced by the league office earlier today.
In a 13-11 win over the University of New England (UNE) last week (4/26), Hughes went 21-for-27 at the face-off X, and also collected a game-high 18 ground balls. Hughes also won 13 straight faceoffs during the game, which helped Endicott outscore UNE 8-4 from the end of the first quarter all the way up until the second faceoff of the fourth quarter. At one point during the run, the Gulls scored seven unanswered goals over a 20:54 span.
