BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott’s \#Eric Hagarty\# (Sudbury, Mass.) made 12 saves while junior attackman \#Jack Curtis\# (Chelmsford, Mass.) notched a goal and five assists to help lead the Gulls past Williams College, 14-9, in non-conference men’s lacrosse action on a rain-soaked Tuesday afternoon in Beverly, Mass. Endicott improves to 4-4 (3-1 TCCC) on the season while the Ephs fall to 3-3 (2-1 NESCAC).

The Gulls erupted for a six-goal first quarter that included three goals on their first three shots. The Blue and Green raced out to a 5-0 lead before Williams got on the board on the man advantage. The Ephs pulled within three, 5-2, when the visitor’s caught a lucky bounce on a pass that redirected off an Endicott defender’s stick and found its way into the cage. Endicott led 6-2 after one quarter and carried a 7-4 advantage into the intermission.

The two sides traded tallies in the third as \#Brad Lipkvich\# (Madison, Conn.) and \#Jonathan Prentice\# (Chelmsford, Mass.) scored back-to-back goals, followed by consecutive strikes from Williams’ Tim Goggins (Pittsfield, Mass.) and Bryan Wrapp (Westport, Conn.). Prentice struck again for the Gulls when he turned the corner and beat Ephs’ goalkeeper Stephen Vrla (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) under the crossbar to make it 10-6 in favor of Endicott. \#Brian Vincent\# (Norwalk, Conn.) then extended the lead as he buried a turnaround shot near the top the crease to give the hosts a five goal cushion. Goggins got the goal back before the end of the frame when the sophomore scooped-up a groundball back post and shoveled it across the goal line.

Williams threatened to start the fourth quarter as Matt Cranshaw (Atlanta, Ga.) and Mike Ryan (Basking Ridge, N.J.) scored just 49 seconds and 2:55 into the period, respectively, to make it a two goal game, 11-9. The Gulls were equal to the task, however, as the Blue and Green ended the game on a 3-0 run with goals from \#Brian Estes\# (Derry, N.H.), Lipkvich and Vincent to secure the 14-9 victory.

\#Jack Curtis\# had a game-high six points on a goal and five assists. \#Brad Lipkvich\# scored three times, while both Prentice and Vincent had two goals apiece. Seven other Gulls finished with a single goal.

Williams was led by a pair of goals from Richard Reuter (Ridgewood, N.J.), Tim Goggins and Tommy Murray (Alexandria, Va.). Matt Cranshaw had a goal and two helpers in the losing effort.

Endicott outshot Williams, 37-27. The Ephs dominated the face-off X, winning 18-of-27 draws and converted on four of six man-up opportunities. \#Eric Hagarty\# made 12 saves, including three in the third quarter, while Vrla turned in a five stop effort.

Endicott, winners in each of its last two games, returns to TCCC play on Saturday when the Blue and Green host Western New England College in a pivotal conference battle at 12:00 p.m. Williams looks to rebound from its third straight loss at NESCAC opponent Trinity at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
