BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott College's Nick Cosco (Londonderry, N.H.) and John Ortolani (Billerica, Mass.) have been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference offensive and defensive players of the week, as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg Kaye on Monday afternoon.

Endicott, currently 7-2 overall and ranked 17th in the nation, put together a 2-0 week as the Gulls defeated Nichols College, 22-1, and then downed cross-town rival Gordon College, 7-2, to move to 3-0 in conference play. Cosco had a hand in six of the Gulls' seven goals against Gordon, as he scored four times and tallied a pair of assists. Against Nichols, Cosco found the back of the net five times and again added a pair of assists to give him a total of 13 points for the week.

Senior midfielder and FOGO specialist John Ortolani was dominant at the face-off X last week, winning 88% of his draws (28-of-32). Ortolani also chipped in by scooping up a total of 13 ground balls, as Endicott allowed only three goals in two games last week.

Endicott steps out of conference play on Tuesday evening as the Gulls play host to NESCAC foe Tufts University at 7:00 p.m. at Endicott Stadium. The last time these two teams met Tufts bounced Endicott from the 2007 NCAA Tournament, as the Jumbos downed the Gulls, 9-8.
