Beverly, MA -- Endicott lacrosse players Burt Fahy and Josh Gilbert were honored by the Commonwealth Coast Conference as the respective Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week. Fahy is receiving the Player of the Week award for the first time this season. The Simsbury, CT rookie has earned this honor three times and this week shares the credit with a fellow Simsbury native Bobby Hensley from Roger Williams University.
Fahy helped the Gulls wrap up their undefeated regular season play last week by scoring 11 goals and handing out four assists in a pair of CCC wins. He scored six times in a 20-7 win over Gordon. Fahy has racked up 72 points for the season so far, with 55 goals and 17 assists. The Needham native is number one in the league in goals per game (3.67) and second in points per game (4.8).
"Burt has been a major factor in our success so far this season," said Head Coach Sean Quirk. "He continues to create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates."

Gilbert, who has also earned Honorable Mention honors twice throughout the season, totaled nine points (5 goals, 4 assists) in a pair of Endicott victories last week. He has racked up 33 goals and assisted on six others so far this season. Gilbert is fifth in the league in goals per game, averaging two.
"Josh has had a fantastic first season," said Head Coach Sean Quirk. "He continues to work hard on his game and is without question one of the better finishers in New England."
The Gulls finished the season in the number one spot, recording a 12-3 overall record, 8-0 in the CCC. The team leads the league in shots, goals, and assists per game. They have earned a bye for the first round of CCC tournament play and will host Roger Williams on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. in the semifinals.
