Men’s Basketball Flips Script On Gordon, 86-61

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's basketball team defeated Gordon College, 86-61, on Thursday night at MacDonald Gymnasium to conclude its abbreviated season at 6-2 overall.

Billy Arseneault (Lynnfield, Mass.) highlighted the Gulls' efforts as the junior point guard registered his third career double-double via 12 points and 10 assists (only one turnover). Arseneault notched his 12 points behind a perfect shooting performance (4-4 FG | 4-4 FT) and also stuffed the stat sheet with four rebounds and a steal in the victory.

Meanwhile, Ty Vitko (Dover, N.H.) paced Endicott offensively with a team-high 19 points (7-11 FG | 5-8 3PT).

Griffin Curtis (Salem, N.H.) rounded out the list of double-digit scorers with 15 points (6-9 FG | 3-5 3PT).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The crosstown rivals split this week's home-and-home series as Gordon won game one of the matchup, 92-78, last night in Wenham.
  • Endicott led tonight's game for 38:50 (game tied 53-seconds | Gordon led for only 17-seconds; 3-2 at 18:46 of the first half).
  • Arseneault's double-doubles this season have come against Curry (3/20/21) and Gordon (3/31/21 | 4/1/21).
  • The Gulls are 27-22 all-time against Gordon.
  • Endicott's bench outscored the Fighting Scots, 34-16.
  • Curtis guided the second unit with 15 points, while Cam Homsey (Windham, N.H.), Louis Ellis (Lynnfield, Mass.), Parker McLaren (Newburyport, Mass.), and Cameron Ray (Lowell, Mass.) followed with seven, six, four, and two points, respectively.
  • The Gulls led by as many as 25 points (2:47, 2nd half) before all was said and done.
  • As a team, Endicott shot a season-high 55.2% from the floor (32-58 FG | 12-25 3PT).
  • Curtis tied his career-high for points (Curry 3/19/21).
