Jake Trahan Named To D3football.com Team Of The Week

D3FOOTBALL.COM WEEKLY RELEASE | ALL-TIME HONOREE LIST

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman free safety Jake Trahan (Merrimack, N.H.) has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, as announced by the organization earlier today.

Last Saturday (11/13/2021), Trahan wreaked havoc on special teams with two tackles, a blocked punt, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery for a score on a muffed punt in the Gulls' CCC title-clinching victory over Nichols, 37-3.

Trahan's scoop and score gave Endicott its first lead of the contest, 10-3, in the second quarter and the Gulls never looked back from there.

Today's announcement marks Trahan's first career D3football.com Team of the Week award and second weekly award this season. Yesterday, Trahan was named the Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football) Special Teams Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

The D3football.com Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, which is currently in its 23rd season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week. Student-athletes are nominated by their school's sports information directors.

Trahan was one of 26 student-athletes chosen to the D3football.com's weekly honor roll from all NCAA Division III programs across the country.

Overall, Trahan is the eighth Endicott student-athlete in program history to be chosen to the D3football.com Team of the Week and 10th overall selection (two student-athletes with two honors each).

Trahan's D3football.com Team of the Week selection also gives Endicott three honorees this season, the most in a single season in program history. Joining Trahan on the list are Tim Russell (Stoneham, Mass.) and Colin Meropoulos (Monroe, Conn.). Russel was the Gulls' first honoree this year (Week 3, 9/21), while Meropoulos earned the squad's second award earlier this month (Week 9, 11/2).
