BEVERLY, Mass. – Sophomore standout \#Kevin Eagan\# (West Hartford, Conn.) has been named to the 2009 New England Football Writers’ Division II/III All-New England team, as announced by NEFW Selection Committee Chair Roger Crosley. Thirty-one players representing 20 different institutions were awarded the regional honor.

Eagan, who garnered New England Football Conference Defensive Rookie of the Year honors last season and First Team All-Division recognition this past year, anchored the Endicott defense in 2009. The West Hartford, Conn. native led the Gulls in tackles (74), tackles for a loss (16.5) and fumble recoveries (3). The defensive lineman/linebacker also was fourth on the squad in sacks with 2.5.

The All-New England team will be honored at the New England football Writers Banquet on Thursday, December 10 at Casa di Fior in Wilmington, Mass. People interested in attending should contact Dick Lipe at Bentley College at 781-891-2334.
