Equestrian Opens Spring Season At UNH

DURHAM, N.H. – The Endicott equestrian team shined in its spring season opener at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) as the Gulls registered 13 top-10 performances on Saturday afternoon at the UNH Equine Center.

Silvia Graf (New London, N.H.), Morgan Entwistle (Trumbull, Conn.), and McKenzie Paiva highlighted Endicott on Saturday as all three student-athletes recorded a first place finish in their respective events.

Graf ranked first in her open jumping class, while Entwistle and Paiva place first overall in novice flat.

Graf also came in third in open flat along with teammate Emily Charette (Tiverton, R.I.), who earlier in the day, checked in at sixth overall in the first open jumping class of the UNH Show.

Kyra Crist (Marblehead, Mass.) turned in a pair of top-5 finishes as the junior rider was awarded second in novice flat and fifth in novice fences.

Hannah Sittig-Boyd also highlighted Endicott's efforts on Saturday by placing fourth overall in her first-ever walk trot class.

Rounding out the list of competitors for the Gulls were Nicole McClellan (Tolland, Mass.), Caitlin Dwyer (Nashua, N.H.), Bronwen Hall, and Kaitlyn Lawson, as all four student-athletes finished fifth overall in their respective events. McCellan competed in intermediate fences, while Dywer represented Endicott in the intermediate flat class. Meanwhile, Hall added to Endicott's bevy of top-10 placements in advanced walk trot canter class, while Lawson closed out the group with her fifth place performance in the beginner walk trot class.

"I was so proud of all of our Endicott riders new and seasoned! They gave it their all and shined throughout the day! It was a great way to end the regular season this year," said Endicott head coach Bethany Jones.

Endicott returns to action on Saturday, April 2 when the Gulls compete at Regionals in Etna, N.H. at the Dartmouth Riding Center (Morton Farm).
