No. 8 Wesleyan (Conn.) Downs Women's Lacrosse, 14-5

PALM BEACH CITY, Fla. — The Endicott women's lacrosse team fell to No. 8 nationally ranked Wesleyan (Conn.), 14-5 on Monday night at the Publix Sports Park.

Leah Black (Cheshire, Conn.) recorded a hat-trick for the Gulls, while Gilly Hartt (Old Saybrook, Conn.) and Grace McAfee (Marmora, N.J.) both added solo tallies. Jaira Paine (Granby, Conn.) and Bailey Sheehan (Pomfret, Conn.) recorded assists on two of Black's goals.

Payton Quirk (Nahant, Mass.) stopped 11 shots in the setback. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • Wesleyan is undefeated in the all-time series versus Endicott (6-0).
  • Black scored a hat-trick in back-to-back games for the first time in her career.
  • After her assist, Paine is four points away from 100 for her career.

Endicott (2-3) remains in Florida as they take on Framingham St. on Wednesday, March 19 at 8 PM. No. 8 Wesleyan (Conn.) (4-1) takes on Stevenson in Florida on Wednesday, March 19 at 1 PM.
