In a 3-0 victory over conference opponent Regis College, Endicott secured a fourth place finish in regular season conference standings. The Gulls will host the fifth place team in the first round of the CCC Tourney next Tuesday.
Sophomore Patty Mikan led the Gulls to victory with her all-around outstanding play. Mikan led the team in kills with 16, followed distantly by Killeen Ross (seven kills) and Sara Moore (six kills). Mikan and Ross set the pace for both digs and aces with 15 and 11 digs respectively and four aces each.
As a team the Gulls were a wall at the net, with Morgan Tranquist and Moore stopping 5 balls each at the net. From the service line Endicott also made waves for the Regis defense, collecting 15 aces as a team.
Endicott gets back on the court again tomorrow night (October, 29) with a 7 PM match at 7th-ranked Bates College of Maine. The Gulls will then finish out the regular season hosting Rhode Island College on Friday and 5th-ranked Western Connecticut State on Saturday.
