In a 3-0 homecoming weekend victory, Endicott's offense went on a roll the Monks could not answer. Sophomore, Patty Mikan contributed a solid all-around match while Captains Kristen Altieri and Krystan Sylva controlled the offensive flow of the game leading the hitters to 35 kills.
Setters Altieri and Sylva both had 13 assists in the match; while the middles Sara Moore and Susan Teta led the team in kills with seven apiece. Also hitting well for Endicott was right-side hitter Marisol Garcia with five kills and no errors in 13 attempts. Sophomore, Patty Mikan contributed a solid all around effort. Mikan set a new school record for digs in a 3-game match with 22 while leading the team in aces, jump-serving five un-returnable balls to the Monks.
St. Joseph's was led on offense by sophomore Kaitlyn Snyder with eight kills and three aces from her low-flying topspin serve. Setter Kerri Padgett led the team with 16 assists.
Upcoming matches for the Gulls include home matches against CCC rival Roger Williams University on Tuesday, October 21 and Oberlin College (OH) on Thursday, October 23. Both matches are scheduled for 7:00 PM starts.
