Women’s Lacrosse Takes Care Of Salve Regina, 15-5

MIDDLETOWN, R.I – The Endicott women's lacrosse team defeated Salve Regina, 15-5, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday afternoon at Gaudet Field. 

Alex Palermo (Reading, Mass.) and Mia Smith (Portsmouth, N.HI) produced hat tricks to highlight the Blue and Green. 

Katie Schenk (Southbury, Conn.) and Kiana Napolitano (Revere, Mass.) both found the back of the net twice, while Leah Black (Cheshire, Conn.), Katy Garvin (Mansfield, Mass.), Jaira Paine (Granby, Conn.), Carly Pierce (Exeter, N.H), and Katie Wagner (Brewster, N.Y.) all scored once in the win.

Tied 1-1 at the 13:40 mark of the first quarter, the Gulls soared to a 9-0 run and never looked back. 

In goal, Lydia Akins (Edina, Minn) turned away eight shots to move her record to 4-5 on the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • Endicott is 30-1 in the all-time series versus Salve Regina (29 straight victories).
  • Smith recorded a career-high three tallies and three assists (six total points).
  • Schenk leads the team with 22 goals. 

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (4-5, 2-0 CCC) travels to Roger Williams on Saturday, April 8 at 3 PM. Salve Regina (4-5, 1-1 CCC) hosts Gordon on Tuesday, April 4 with a TBA start time.
