2020 Men’s Lacrosse Season Preview

ROSTER | SCHEDULE | CCC PRESEASON POLL

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's lacrosse team opens up its 2020 season on the road this Wednesday against No. 11 nationally ranked Union (N.Y.) at 4 PM. Here's a preview of the upcoming season.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Endicott returns several Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) All-Conference selections to the fold this season including Nick Arcadipane (Groveland, Mass.), Ben Clark (Burnt Hills, N.Y.), Will Clark (Burnt Hills, N.Y.), Andrew Fithian (Marshfield, Mass.), James Loughran (Cos Cobb, Conn.), Neal Parry (Marshfield, Mass.), Mike Sudora (Monroe, Conn.) and Jack Sutherland (Sudbury, Mass.). This group of Gulls will be charged with bringing back a conference championship to The Nest in 2020.
  • Senior middie Andrew Soucy (Andover, Mass.) has been chosen as the lone captain for the 2020 season. He is the first student-athlete to serve as a singular captain during a season since Harrison Cotter '15 M'17 (Lordship, Conn.) did so in 2015 and only the third student-athlete in program history ever to be honored this way.
  • Based on the current United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) poll at the date of this publication, the Gulls are scheduled to play five programs who will be in the national discussion this season. Union (11), Amherst (2), and Tufts (6) are currently nationally ranked, while Stevens and Nazareth are receiving votes.
  • As a program, Endicott will enter the 2020 campaign just three wins shy of reaching the 300-win plateau. Since the sport was established in 1996, the Gulls are 297-143 (.675) overall and 151-15 (.910) in conference play.
  • Endicott has been picked to finish second in the CCC Preseason Coaches' Poll behind conference rival Western New England. The Gulls and Golden Bears have played against each other for the league title for the last seven straight years.
