Men’s Golf Finishes Third At Middlebury; Burke Earns Medalist Honors To Lead Gulls

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — The Endicott men's golf team finished third overall out of 24 programs at the Duke Nelson Invitational this weekend. 

Brady Burke (Bedford, N.H.) highlighted the Gulls' efforts with medalist honors by carding a two-day total of -4, 138 (69-69, par 71) on the Ralph Myhre Golf Course of Middlebury College.

Burke was one of only two golfers to finish under par for the weekend (three strokes better than second).

Tyler Baker (Falmouth, Maine) and Will Pierce (Melrose, Mass.) also cracked the top-25 leaderboard with 14th (tied, 73-73, 146) and 19th (tied, 74-74, 148) place finishes, respectively.

Frank Mahoney (Braintree, Mass.) and Hadyn Kornusky (Topsfield, Mass.) both posted identical scores to finish tied for 50th overall (78-76, 154).

BEYOND THE SCORECARD

  • Baker bested a field of over 120 golfers.
  • Program best third place finish at the Duke Nelson Invitational.
  • The Gulls topped Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foes Suffolk (t-10th, 303-302, 605), Nichols (14th, 305-308, 613), and Western New England (24, 328-333, 661) this weekend.

Endicott will compete in the Williams College Invitational next weekend (9/16-9/17).
