2023-24 Men’s Golf Season Preview

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's golf team opens up its 2023-24 campaign on Saturday at the Duke Nelson Invitational in Middlebury, Vermont. Here's a preview of the upcoming season.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Tyler Baker (Falmouth, Maine), Frank Mahoney (Braintree, Mass.), and Kyle Mahoney (Braintree, Mass.) have been named captains of this year's squad.
  • The Gulls will look to capture their third straight Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship this fall.
  • Unlike in years past, there will be no CCC Qualifier this fall, and a championship contested later in the spring as the coaches voted for a format change to have the CCC Championship played during the first half of the academic year.
  • Endicott will have five dates of competition — three in September and two in October — to prepare for its CCC Title defense on October 19-20 in Grafton, Mass. at the Highfields Golf & Country Club, hosted by Wentworth.
  • Baker will look to join Endicott Hall of Famer Austin Teal '16 (Loudonville, N.Y.) as the only student-athletes in program history to win back-to-back CCC Golfer of the Year awards this season

WHAT'S NEXT

After competing in the two-day Duke Nelson Invitational this weekend (9/9-9/10), the Gulls will compete in the Williams College Invitational on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17.
