THE PROJECT... IN HER OWN WORDS

Throughout this past semester I had the pleasure of working with the Endicott Football team for my Documentary Photography Class. The project that was assigned was to document something that could be photographed more than once and that would be interesting to photograph all semester. I chose the football team because my passion lies in sports photography and their season would take me right up until the end of the semester.

The goal for this project was to capture the emotion and the journey of the team throughout the season not just on the field, but also during practices and their strength and conditioning sessions.

Wherever the team was, I was.

I joined them in the locker room during halftime when the coaches were talking to them, I was at their practices, and on the sidelines during the games.

I really enjoyed working with the team and learned how a win and a loss both affect the team greatly, but in different ways.

This project definitely helped to solidify that sports photography, mainly football, is what I really want to do.
