Craig Anderson Named To CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District Team For Third Time In His Career

BEVERLY, Mass. – For the third time in his illustrious career, Endicott senior defensive lineman Craig Anderson (Franklin, Mass.) has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District™ Football first team. Anderson is now the first-ever three-time CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District™ first team selection in the College's history. The NCAA Division III District 1 team includes schools from Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined academic and athletic performances. First-team Academic All-District™ honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.

In the classroom, Anderson currently holds a 3.89 cumulative grade point average (GPA) as a criminal justice major at Endicott. The list of academic accolades earned by Anderson is long, but includes the Jack Daly Award for Academics, Citizenship, and Football, one CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-America selection, three CoSIDA All-District selections, a pair of New England Football Conference (NEFC) Academic All-Conference honors, and multiple Dean's List and Endicott Academic Varsity club honors.

On the field, Anderson leads the NEFC in sacks (3) and sack yards (21), while he is also positioned No. 57 in tackles (26) and No. 61 in solo stops (14). Moreover, Anderson is second all-time in program history in sacks (20.5) and sack yards (120), third in tackles for loss (39.5), fourth in yards from tackles for loss (159), and fifth in total tackles (202) and assisted tackles (108).

Anderson also is the single-game record holder for sacks with four, which he accomplished against Nichols College on September 26, 2015.

Endicott returns to action this Saturday when it travels to Coast Guard Academy for a conference matchup at 12 p.m.
