Emily Dellisola ’20 Named Cheerleading Head Coach

BEVERLY, Mass. – Emily Dellisola '20 (Derry, N.H.) has been named head coach of the Endicott cheerleading program, as announced by Assistant Vice President, Director of Athletics Dr. Brian A. Wylie.

The 2021-22 season marks Dellisola's second year as a member of the coaching staff and sixth year overall with the program.

Last season as an assistant coach, Dellisola helped guide the Gulls to a third place finish at the 2021 National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Virtual Collegiate Championship, its highest placement at nationals in program history.

Meanwhile, prior to joining the coaching staff, Dellisola was a four-year member (2016-2020) and a two-time captain of the program. Dellisola's leadership and athletic abilities were instrumental in Endicott placing seventh overall in back-to-back appearances at the NCA Collegiate National Championship in 2017-18 and 2018-19, respectively.

"I am so excited to be taking over this program as its head coach. After being a member of the team for four years and being an assistant coach for one year I am dedicated to helping bring this program to the next level," said Dellisola. "I have a lot of goals and ideas moving forward and can't wait to get started!"

Alongside her cheerleading accomplishments, Dellisola earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies Education with a concentration in educational studies in 2020.

Dellisola also earned Dean's List honors every semester during her time at The Nest, was a member of both the Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society and EC L.E.A.D., and carried a 3.84 GPA at the conclusion of her academic career.

Additionally, Dellisola passed her MTELS in communication and literacy, and published her senior thesis topic on "The Impact of Field Trips on Motivation, Success, and Achievement."

Aside from her coaching duties with the cheerleading program, Dellisola is currently pursuing her Master of Education in Elementary Education at Endicott.
