Cheerleading Places Third At NCA Collegiate Championship, Highest Finish In Program History

RESULTS

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott cheerleading program placed third overall in the DIII All-Girl Open Finals in the 2021 National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Virtual Collegiate Championship this past weekend. The third place finish for the Gulls is the highest placement at nationals in program history.

In the prelims, Endicott posted a performance score of 89.8667 and followed up that routine with a score of 89.7667 in the finals to secure third place. The Gulls did not have any deduction scores in the prelims or the finals.

"This year's team truly showed what dedication and determination mean by pushing forward during a pandemic and working with a limited practice schedule to put a routine together that normally takes months to perfect. This talented group performed a zero deduction routine after only performing it full out twice and having approximately 18 hours of stunting time when we would have normally had well over six months to perfect the skills in our routine," said Endicott cheerleading head coach Jennifer Riley. "I couldn't be more proud of these young women and am honored to have had the privilege to coach them this season. We appreciate all the support we received and are thankful we were given the opportunity to compete this year."
