Beverly, MA - Prior to today's match, the Gulls took time to recognize their Seniors: Sylva, Tranquist, Teta, Lorinovich and Altieri and their contributions to the program. When the teams took the court the Gulls came out ready and defeated Conn College 3-0 (30-17, 30-20, 30-19). EC, currently ranked \#6 in New England, has now won 22 straight matches.
Playing well for the Gulls offensively again were Sara Moore and Killeen Ross who contributed 13 and 10 kills respectively. Setting duties were shared and Krystan Sylva picked up 11 assists in the first game while Meghan Hall picked up 22 over the final two. Patty Mikan was a force at the service line handing out 7 aces and Katie Lorinovich led the team with 11 digs while Kristen Altieri picked up 5.
In the match, Freshman Meghan Hall set a new school record for assists in a season. Krystan Sylva who is the programs all time assists leader set the bar at 796 assist in 2001. With her 22 today, Hall is at 814 and counting.
The Gulls will now return to action on Monday night at 7:00 PM. They will be traveling to MIT, who is currently ranked \#3 in New England for a nonconference match.
