Women’s Track & Field Competes At Penmen Relays

MANCHESTER, N.H. — The Endicott women's track and field team broke several school records on Saturday at the Penmen Relays, hosted by Southern New Hampshire University.

Aleah MacKay (Bedford, N.H.) shattered the 5,000-meter run school record by more than 18-seconds with a time of 19:09.80 to finish fourth overall out of 24 competitors.

Jamie Budge (Old Tappan, N.J.) bettered school records in the 100-meter dash (14.40, 21st overall) and 100-meter hurdles (18.07, 20th overall), while Julia Jankowski (Methuen, Mass.) broke the high-water mark in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.57 to place 15th overall.

Olivia Folkes (Amston, Conn.) also rewrote the 400-meter dash record with a time of 1:03.56 for ninth place overall out of 29 entrees. 

Hannah Buckley (Milford, Conn.) rounded out the list of school record performances with a toss of 22-feet and 3.50-inches in the shot put.

"We had a lot of strong performances and it was good to see them build off of their meet at Tufts," said Endicott women's track and field head coach Spencer Lange. "They have been working hard and pushing each other through this final stretch of the season. We're excited to get out to MIT next week in the final meet before the conference championships."

OTHER ENDICOTT WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD HIGHLIGHTS

  • Amanda Recupero (Ipswich, Mass.), Laura Pomeroy (Windham, N.H.), and Julie Sheetz (Waterbury, Conn.) finished 16th (2:38.70), 25th (2:44.22), and 32nd (2:55.91) overall in the 800-meter run.
  • Pomeroy also headlined the Gulls' efforts in the one mile run with a time of 5:57.99 (20th overall).
  • Sarah Matys (Holden, Mass.) and Abigail Keim (Williston, Vt.) were 22nd (6:02.07) and 25th (6:08.82) in the one mile run.
  • Endicott's 4x100-meter relay "A Team" of Taylor Papa (Tolland, Conn.), Danielle Boucher (Hampton, N.H.), Sullivan, and Hevyn Pray (Rehoboth, Mass.) ranked 13th overall in 55.69.
  • The Gulls' 4x400-meter relay "A Team" of Amelia Castelli (Scituate, R.I.), Recupero, Jankowski, and Folkes posted a time of 4:31.70 to place eighth overall in the event.
  • Taylor Jordan (Saco, Maine) was 19th overall in the discus with a distance of 82-feet and 8-inches.

Endicott will compete in the Sean Collier Invitational, hosted by MIT, on Saturday, April 21 at 10 AM.
