BOSTON, Mass. — The Endicott women's soccer team knocked off Wentworth by a score of 2-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play on Saturday afternoon at Sweeney Field.
Grace Jewett (Millis, Mass.) provided some early offense in the win, as she squeaked home a failed clearance past Wentworth's goalkeeper to put the Blue and Green up 1-0 in just the second minute.
The game remained 1-0 until the 53rd minute, when Callie Neils (Brentwood, N.H.) found the back of the net for the all-important insurance goal.
Lily Miller (Warwick, R.I.) initiated the tally from the right wing with a booming shot that hit the crossbar before Neils headed home the loose ball right near the goal line.
