2019-20 UNITED SOCCER COACHES COLLEGE TEAM ACADEMIC AWARD WINNERS LIST

BEVERLY, Mass. – For the 11th straight season, the Endicott women's soccer team has received the United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award, as announced by the organization last week.

The United Soccer Coaches organization annually recognizes college and high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the field.

"I am incredibly proud of our team and program for attaining this achievement year after year," said Endicott women's soccer head coach Jodi Kenyon. "It is a top priority for our coaching staff to attract highly motivated student athletes that are committed to work hard in the classroom and on the field."

A total of 935 soccer teams (353 men, 582 women) posted a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2019-20 academic year. Of that total, 202 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized, including Endicott.

Meanwhile, Endicott's women's soccer program has earned the distinction 13 times (2007, 2008, 2010-2020) since the award was instituted in 1996.

Last fall, the Gulls also placed 14 student-athletes on the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Academic All-Conference list. Student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale) and must also have attained sophomore status.

Endicott's 2019 season featured a 10-8-2 overall record and 4-3-1 mark in CCC play. The Gulls advanced to the CCC Championship for the ninth time under the direction of Coach Kenyon.

Along with those numbers during the aforementioned 11-year stretch, the Gulls have compiled a 140-65-26 (.662) overall record and a 80-19-6 (.790) conference record.

Academically, the Gulls have placed 104 student-athletes on the CCC Academic All-Conference team, while seeing four individuals receive CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District teams with one individual in that group receiving Second Team All-America honors.
