Boxscore

Beverly, Mass. – Holly Davis (Guilford, Conn.), Kellie Cunningham (Derry, N.H.), and Morgan DeShaw (Danville, N.H.) each scored four goals as the Endicott women’s lacrosse team cruised to their fifth The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) victory with a 22-3 win over Colby-Sawyer. The Gulls built a 13-2 lead through the first 30 minutes of play and outscored the Chargers 9-1 over the final 30 minutes to improve to 5-3 and remain perfect in conference play. Colby-Sawyer drops to 3-5 overall and 2-2 in the TCCC.

DeShaw finished with six points on four goals and two assists while Davis added a game-high eight draw controls. Cunningham chipped in one ground ball, one draw control, and a pair of caused turnovers. Molly Sowles (Yarmouth, Maine) scored twice and dished out three assists while classmate Carin Czerniawski (Monroe, Conn.) added a goal and three assists in the win.

Brittney Murphy (Woburn, Mass.) paced the Chargers with two goals while Hannah Cullen (Penacook, N.H.) scored the other.

Murphy opened the scoring less than one minute into the game with an unassisted effort to give Colby-Sawyer an early lead. DeShaw answered thirty seconds later with her first of the day to spark an 8-0 Endicott run over the ensuing 17-plus minutes. Cunningham and DeShaw scored twice during that time while Davis, Czerniawski, Sowles, and Brooke Neuman (Stamford, Conn.) each added goals.

Murphy stopped the bleeding with a free position goal with 9:08 remaining in the half, but Endicott would add five unanswered before the break to take a 13-2 lead into halftime.

The Gulls scored the first seven goals of the second half to stymie any potential comeback. Davis scored twice in the opening ten minutes before Cunningham, DeShaw, and freshman Callie Murphy (Woburn, Mass.) scored consecutive goals three minutes apart.

Sophomore attack Kelly Tierney (South Hadley, Mass.) and freshman Rachel Campos (Shrewsbury, Mass.) each scored to make it 20-2 in favor of the hosts before Cullen’s unassisted goal made it 20-3. Gabrielle Boyle (Hingham, Mass.) and Brooke Worcester (Kennebunk, Maine) accounted for the final two goals of the day.

Endicott takes on Wellesley on Thursday (March 31) in a non-conference matchup before a marquee TCCC showdown with unbeaten Curry on Saturday. Colby-Sawyer also takes part in a non-conference game on Thursday against Thomas College at 3:00 pm.
