IWCHL Tournament Pairings Release
BEVERLY, Mass. – After finishing the regular season at 8-3-1 (4-2-1 IWCHL North) the Endicott women's ice hockey team has earned the #3 seed in the upcoming IWCHL tournament. The Gulls will compete at #2 New Hampshire (8-3) on Friday, February 13th at 8:15 p.m. at the Rochester Ice Arena in Rochester, N.H.
The tournament will mark the second straight year for the Blue and Green as they finished the season as the #2 seed in 2014 before falling to Westfield State in the semifinal round. The winner of the matchup will go on to play the winner of #4 Saint Anselm (3-5) at #1 Salem State (11-0).
The winner of the North Divisional Tournament will then go on to play the winner of the South Division for an IWCHL Championship game. The members of the North Division are #1 Boston University (10-1-1), #2 MIT (8-4), #3 Boston College (6-4-2) and #4 Westfield State (6-5).
The Gulls have played the Wildcats twice this season and split in the two meetings. Back in their season opener on November 2nd the Blue and Green fell in a 5-2 battle and then avenged their loss on January 31st with a 3-1 victory.
