2023-24 Women's Basketball Preview: Gulls Picked Fourth In CCC Preseason Poll

CCC PRESEASON POLL

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's basketball team opens up its 2023-24 season on Friday, November 10, as Coast Guard makes its way into MacDonald Gymnasium for the 6 PM opener. Here's a preview of the Gulls' upcoming season.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Endicott has been picked fourth in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Preseason Coaches' Poll.
  • The Gulls return three of their top five scorers from last season's roster. The group includes Sarah Dempsey (Windham, N.H.), Libby Fleming (Bangor, Maine), and Katelyn Konareski (Milford, Conn.), who scored 386, 128, and 110 points, respectively, in the 2022-23 season.
  • Endicott has punched its ticket to the CCC Tournament in 19 of its last 20 seasons heading into this year's campaign, highlighted by a CCC Championship in 2019-20 and a CCC Finals appearance in 2021-22.
  • Dempsey was named to the CCC all-conference third-team for her performance last season, as she averaged 13.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, and shot 45.5% from the field.
  • Taylor Bogdanski (Saugus, Mass.) is the lone senior on the Gulls' roster. She looks to build off career-highs of 4.4 points, 1.7 assists, and 0.7 steals per game last season as the leadership presence for a Gulls team which carries six freshmen on its roster.
