Women’s Basketball Pulls Away From Curry On Senior Day, 75-53

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's basketball team posted a 75-53 conference victory over Curry College on Saturday afternoon at MacDonald Gymnasium.

In a pre-game ceremony prior to the matchup, seniors Kara Hersey (Essex, Mass.), Kaleigh Putnam (Wallingford, Conn.), Emily Pratt (Gardner, Mass.), and Mikaela Rogers (Haverhill, Mass.) were all honored for their contributions towards the women's basketball program and the Endicott College community.

The Class of 2020 has collectively compiled a 63-42 overall record and a 51-17 conference record. This group has also led the Gulls to three conference postseason appearances and one CCC championship appearance, to date.

Meanwhile, as for the game, Endicott erased a slim 23-21 halftime deficit by outscoring Curry 29-17 in the third quarter and never looked back. Overall, in the second stanza, Endicott outscored Curry 54-30 and shot 61.8-percent from the field (21-for-34 FG, 3-for-5 3PT, 9-for-13 FT).

Pratt, Putnam, and Rogers stole the show on their Senior Day as the trio scored 22 (game-high), 20, and 12 points, respectively, to lead the Gulls to their third straight victory.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott improved to 32-7 all-time against Curry.
  • The Gulls have won eight straight versus the Colonels.
  • Rogers also hauled in 11 rebounds to notch her third double-double of the season.
  • Pratt and Putnam have both scored 20 or more points in a game four times this season.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (15-10, 12-4 CCC) and Curry (6-19, 4-12 CCC) will now await the announcement of their respective seeding in the upcoming Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament later this week.
