  • Gulls Make History With Championship Victory; Crough Earns Game MVP

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s basketball team hosted Smith College on Sunday afternoon for the ECAC DIII New England Women’s Basketball Championship. Entering the matchup the Gulls were the #2 seed in the tournament while Smith earned the #4 seed. Senior Samantha Crough (Cohasset, Mass.) earned a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds to help the Gulls soar to the programs first championship with a 79-76 final score. With her efforts, Crough was named the ECAC Championship game MVP. Endicott finished the season on a high note at 23-7 while the Pioneers just fell short to an 18-12 overall record.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s basketball team hosted Framingham State in the semifinal round of the ECAC DIII New England Women’s Basketball Tournament on Saturday evening. Junior Kayleen Whall (Foxboro, Mass.) tallied 18 points, two shy of her career high to help lift the Gulls over the Rams 67-64. Endicott will make its first trip to the ECAC Finals round in program history while they earn their best record above 20 wins since the 2008-09 season. Endicott improves to 21-7, while the Rams close out their 2013-14 season at 18-12.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s basketball team hosted Wellesley in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) quarterfinals on Wednesday evening. All-CCC Third Team member, sophomore Kelsey Cuddy (Madison, Conn.) posted an impressive 18 points and six steals to help edge the Blue 58-51. The Gulls improve to 21-7 while the Blue end their season at 16-10.

    CENTERVILLE, Mass. - The Endicott women’s basketball team will continue their season as they were selected to compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced Monday. The #2 Gulls (20-7, 14-4 CCC) are set to host #7 Wellelsey (16-9, 13-7 NEWMAC) in the first round after being ousted from the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) last Thursday in the semifinals. The Gulls are the only CCC team to be selected in the ECAC tournament this season.

    BRISTOL, R.I. – The Endicott women’s basketball team took on conference opponent Roger Williams on Thursday evening for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) quarterfinals. Despite the 21 points from Senior Samantha Crough (Cohasset, Mass.) it was not enough as the Hawks came out with the 60-57 victory. Endicott falls to 20-7 overall while the Hawks will advance to the CCC Championship at 22-5.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) named the women’s basketball All-CCC teams for the 2013-14 season announced by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye this morning. The Gulls saw three members earn a spot on All-CCC teams as the Blue and Green finished the regular season at 19-6, (14-4 CCC) while taking the #3 seed entering the CCC Tournament.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s basketball team hosted Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent Western New England on Tuesday evening for the CCC Quarterfinals. With the 18 first half points from sophomore Kelsey Cuddy (Madison, Conn.) and 16 total from senior Jennifer White (Lisbon, N.H.) the Gulls ousted the Golden Bears from the tournament 72-68. Endicott improves to 20-6, (14-4 CCC) while WNE falls to 10-16, (7-11 CCC). Tonight marked the first time since 2008-09 that Endicott earned 20 wins on the season.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has released the field of eight for the upcoming conference tournament. The Gulls have been selected as the #3 seed and they are set to host #6 Western New England on Tuesday, February 25th, time is TBA. Endicott wrapped up their regular season at 19-6, (14-4 CCC) after their victory over the Golden Bears this afternoon who finished at 10-15, (7-11).

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott women’s basketball team traveled to Western New England on Saturday afternoon for the last regular season game before the CCC tournament. Three different Gulls scored in double digits in the 68-60 victory as they improve to 19-6, (14-4 CCC) while the Golden Bears fall to 10-15, (7-11 CCC).

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s basketball team clinched the #3 seed in the upcoming Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) tournament this evening in their victory 73-49 victory over Wentworth. Tonight Endicott celebrated their five seniors whom all tallied points on the night led by senior Samantha Crough who earned 14. The Gulls improve to 18-6, (13-4 CCC) while the Leopards fall to 7-16, (4-13 CCC).

Sophomore Kelsey Cuddy (Madison, Conn.) led the Gulls in scoring posting 17 points, just shy of her career high 19. The Blue and Green came out victorious over the Colonels with a final score of 78-47. Endicott improves to 17-6, (12-4 CCC) while Curry falls to 13-10, (9-7 CCC).

    DUDLEY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s basketball team traveled to Nichols on Wednesday evening for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup. After a double-double effort from senior Jennifer White and big points from junior Kayleen Whall (Foxboro, Mass.) and sophomore Kelsey Cuddy (Madison, Conn.) to Gulls handed the Bison their ninth conference loss in the 70-57 victory after a second half surge. Endicott improves to 16-6, (11-4 CCC) while Nichols falls to 11-11, (6-9 CCC).

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s basketball team hosted Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent, Roger Williams on Saturday afternoon. Entering the matchup the two teams were neck and neck in the CCC standings. Despite the 20 point effort from junior Kayleen Whall (Foxboro, Mass.) it was not enough to beat the Hawks squad who had three players in double figures as they fell 59-69. With the loss the Blue and Green move to 15-6, (10-4 CCC) while the Hawks improve to 17-4, (12-2 CCC).

    NEWPORT, R.I. - The Endicott women’s basketball team traveled to Salve Regina on Tuesday night for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup. The Gulls earned their second regular season victory over the Seahawks with strong efforts from senior Julie Manning (Hulls, Mass.) who came out with 10 points and six rebounds in the 65-48 victory. Endicott improves to 15-5, (10-3 CCC) while Salve Regina falls to 10-10, (8-5 CCC).

    BIDDEFORD, Maine – A recent Endicott women’s basketball four-game conference winning streak came to an end on Saturday as the Gulls dropped a road CCC contest at University of New England, 74-68. Endicott suffered their second regular season loss to UNE despite a double-double effort from sophomore forward Kelsey Cuddy (Madison, Conn.) who poured in 16 points with 10 rebounds in the losing effort.

The Gulls bench posted an impressive 26 points in the 64-43 victory over the Fighting Scots, led by senior Samantha Crough (Cohasset, Mass.) who scored 16 points in just 22 minutes of play. The Gulls improve to 14-4, (9-2 CCC) while the Scots fall to 5-2, (1-10 CCC).

The Gulls shot 44.1% from inside the arc to help them cruise through Wentworth in the 67-44 victory. Endicott improves to 13-4, (8-2 CCC) while Wentworth falls to 5-11, (2-8 CCC).

The match marks the second round of conference play for the Gulls as they soared over the Lions with a 71-55 final. Senior Samantha Crough (Cohasset, Mass.) led Endicott in scoring with 17 points and nine rebounds. The Gulls improve to 12-4, (7-2 CCC) while ENC falls to 5-10, (1-8 CCC).

Endicott moves to 11-4, (6-2 CCC) while the Rams fall to 8-5, (3-1 GNAC).
