O'Connor goes 4-0 with a perfect game to win CCC Pitcher of the Week award

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Junior pitcher Nell O'Connor (Harwich, Mass.) earned four wins in the circle for the Endicott softball team who went 7-3 this week and for her efforts was named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Pitcher of the Week.  O'Connor pitched complete games in three of those victories as she improved to 6-1 on the season. 

In four starts, O'Connor pitched 23 innings, allowing zero earned runs on nine hits and seven walks while striking out 19 batters.  She saw her season averages dip to a 1.68 earned run average and a .202 batting average against.  

In a 11-0 win over Gordon, O'Connor only allowed two hits while striking out four.  She scattered five hits and tied her career-high with six punch outs in a win over Brandeis.  O'Connor went four innings to earn a victory over Wentworth, allowing only two hits with five more strikeouts.  

Finally, the junior pitched a perfect game ina 2-0 win over Curry, allowing no baserunners either via hit or walk while striking out four to cap off her stellar week on the mound.  

O'Connor and the Endicott softball team continues their season on Tuesday at home against Babson for two games starting at 3:00 pm.
