CCC names Krista Fales Player of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) today named Endicott senior catcher Krista Fales (Melrose, Mass.) their Player of the Week winner as Fales led the Gulls to a 4-0 week against conference opponents Eastern Nazarene and University of New England this past weekend.

Fales batted .692 on the week with nine hits in 13 at bats with a homerun, five runs scored, and three RBI.  She recorded hits in all four games including a 6-for-7 effort in a doubleheader sweep against the Nor'easters in Endicott's home opener. 

Fales raised her team-leading batting average to .452 and currently sports a .511 on-base percentage and a .524 slugging percentage.  Fales' homerun, her first of the season, came in the third inning of a 10-0 (5 inn.) victory in game one against Eastern Nazarene.

Fales and her Endicott softball teammates currently stand at 4-10 (4-0 CCC) and will host North Shore Cup rival Gordon on Tuesday, April 9th for two games starting at 3:00 pm.
