Men’s Cross Country Finishes 14th At NCAA Regionals

BRUNSWICK, Maine — The Endicott men's cross country team placed 14th overall out of 33 programs at the NCAA Division III East Regional Championship on Saturday afternoon.

MIT took top honors at the meet via a team score of 21 points.

Meanwhile, Bates (72), Colby (82), Tufts (116), Bowdoin (166), WPI (169), Babson (226), Plymouth State (272), UMass Dartmouth (336), and Suffolk (356) rounded out the top-10.

As for the Gulls (449 points), Caleb Nye (Hinesburg, Vt.) highlighted the squad with a 52nd place finish on the 8-kilometer course in 27:31.1.

Nye was followed by Connor Coffin (Scarborough, Maine), Cooper Downey (Hudson, N.H.), Josh Lehmann (Gorham, Maine), and Shane Cataloni (Attleboro, Mass.) in 63rd (27:47.9), 96th (28:49.3), 101st (28:53.0), and 143rd (30:14.0) place, respectively.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Nye registered the best individual finish for the Gulls since the regional championship alignment occurred last season (10-region model).
  • The Gulls averaged a time of 28:39 on the 8-kilometer course.
