BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Endicott men's cross country team earned runner-up honors at the Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Bowdoin defended its home turf by scoring 17 points in the meet, while Endicott (57), NVU-Lyndon (91), St. Joseph's of Maine (101), and Emmanuel (109) followed in respective order.
Colin Costa (West Newbury, Mass.) ranked sixth overall in a time of 27:38.7 on the 8-kilometer course to pace the Gulls.
Following Costa in Endicott's top-5 were Caleb Nye (Hinesburg, Vt.), Cooper Downey (Hudson, N.H.), Shane Cataloni (Attleboro, Mass.), and Andrew Lauzon (North Andover, Mass.). The group ranked ninth (27:48.3), 14th (28:39.9), 17th (29:02.6), and 21st overall (29:33.3).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- First appearance at the Bowdoin Invitational since 2018 (does not count 2019 NCAA Regionals).
- Costa and Nye posted the No. 1 and No. 2 best times by a freshman today.
- The Gulls registered a 1:54.56 differential between their No. 1 and No. 5 runners.
