SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - For the second time in as many weeks, freshman Greg Payne (North Attleboro, Mass.) was able to take home Runner and Rookie of the Week this week as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Tuesday. Payne was able to finish as the top TCCC runner in this week's Trinity College Invitational finishing 45th out of 148 runners.

Payne posted a time of 17:44 in the 5k race and led the Gulls to a strong showing at the Invitational. In his first two weeks on the trail at the collegiate level, Payne has been able to sweep all of the awards so far in the young season.

Greg Payne looks to help the Blue and Green bounce back from a tough outing last week when the team boards the bus and heads to Biddeford, Maine to take on the University of New England this Saturday at 11:10 a.m.
