Cumberland, ME--On Saturday, the men's cross country team competed in the NCAA New England Regional Championships at the Twin Brook Recreation Complex. Out of the 38 teams contenting for the Regional Championship title, EC finished 31st.

The team combined for an overall score of 915. Scott Baldelli led the Gulls by completing the 8,000 meter course in a time of 29:12. Crossing the line next for the Gulls was Will Lockman with a time of 29:47. Junior Bill Shemansky completed the course in 31:07, and also crossing the line in the 32nd minute was sophomore Matt Harkins (31:22). Junior Ben Quirk was the fifth Gull to cross the tape with a time of 31:28. Freshman John Harkins completed the Twin Brook course in a time of 34:28.
