Solid Finish for the Gulls

The men's cross country team finished 8th out of 16 teams at the Pop Crowell Invitational held at Gordon College this weekend.

The Gulls were once again led by the freshmen tandem of Scott Baldelli 30th place 29:25 and Will Lockman 41st place 30:05 over the 8 kilometer course.

Bill Shemansky showed that he was getting back into true form by finishing close behind with a time of 30:49 51st place. Fellow captain Ben Quirk improved his time on the course by about 2 minutes finshing with a time of 30:53.

Coming off shoulder surgery only a month ago, Matt Harkins ran a tough race finsishing as the 5th man for the Gulls. Newcomers John Harkins and Dan Slager showed a remarkable improvement dropping over 3 minutes off their times from the previous meet.

The Cross-country squad will be running in the Tri-State Invitational in Rhode Island this upcoming weekend.
