Colby-Sawyer Slips Past Endicott, 5-4

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's tennis team fell to Colby-Sawyer, 5-4, on Tuesday afternoon on the South Campus Courts.

The Gulls took two out of three doubles matches securing an 8-5 win at No. 1 through the team of Brennan Nick (Tolland, Conn.) and Daniel Rinkert (Ben Lomond, Calif.), and an 8-7 (7-5) win at No. 3 by the team of Charles Book (Devon, Pa.) and Weston Goodwin (Freeport, Maine).

Meanwhile, in singles action, Nick notched a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 2, and Goodwin triumphed 6-0, 6-4 at No. 6.

"Frustrating result for us today, but give Colby-Sawyer credit they made a lot of balls," said men's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo. "We have a lot of positives to build on as we head into the off-season."

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott (0-3) will not compete until February when it hosts Saint Michael's College on Friday, February 14 at 1 PM. Colby-Sawyer (2-3) will not compete again until its spring season.
