Endicott Prevails Over Western New England on Senior Day, 89-12

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's rugby team came out victorious on Senior Day after defeating Western New England, 89-12, this past Saturday.

Prior to the match, Endicott seniors Bryan Palmatier (Needham, Mass.) and Max Young (Weymouth, Mass.) were honored for their contributions to the men's rugby program as well as the Endicott College community. Head Coach Dave Kenkel also remarked that "he will certainly miss each senior's leadership and high-level character whenever representing the men's rugby program."

As for the match, Endicott was able to maintain possession for the majority of the contest and scored on 15 tries which led to a 54-0 halftime advantage. Various student-athletes contributed to the large victory, however, Palmatier was named "Man of the Match" for his ability to run the offense and execute excellent defense throughout the day.

"It was an all-around team effort," said Kenkel. "I was especially impressed with our second side that scored 12 tries in a shortened match and showed exceptional skills."
