Pierce Named Final CCC Golfer of the Week of the Fall

BEVERLY, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) office released the final weekly golf awards of the fall season, and Endicott's Will Pierce (Melrose, Mass.) was named Golfer of the Week for the first time in his career.

The sophomore earned the distinction after leading the Gulls to a sixth place finish at the NEIGA DIII Championship, which consisted of a field of 23 teams and 115 golfers.

Individually, Pierce fired an opening round of -1, 71 before posting a +4, 76, to finish the two-day tournament at +3, 147. That total helped him tie for ninth overall, and helped the Gulls finish sixth with a combined score of 603.

Pierce's honor means a clean-sweep for the Gulls throughout the fall season, as he joins Tyler Baker (Falmouth, Maine) and Brady Burke (Bedford, N.H.) as individuals to be named Golfer of the Week this fall. Baker has earned the distinction three times this season, while Burke claimed the honor twice.
