HENNIKER, NH - Junior forward Ryan Jaziri (Norwich, CT) had a game high 29 points as he led New England College to a 82-70 win over the Gulls Thursday night.
The Pilgrims shot 45-percent in the first half and had five players scoring in double digits, as they led by ten at the half.
Mike Sullivan (Marshfield, MA/Marshfield) led the Gulls with 24 points, but could not shoulder the load on his own. The Gulls came storming back late in the game, as Nemanja Marinkovic (Belgrade, Serbia/Second Baptist, Houston, TX) scored six of his 10 points in the second half, and Tom Connor (Kittery, ME/Traip Academy) scored all seven of his points in the final period.
The Pilgrims would hold on for the win, widening the gap over the final minutes. The win improves NEC to 10-14 overall and 5-10 CCC, while Endicott goes to 13-10 overall and 11-4 CCC.
EC returns home on Saturday afternoon for its final game of the regular season as they take on the Salve Regina Seahawks at 1:00pm in Beverly. The Gulls currently hold second place in the CCC North Division.
