HENNIKER, NH - Endicott College kept its perfect January record in tact, earning an 84-54 win over New England College Tuesday night in a Commonwealth Coast Conference game.
The Pilgrims (8-8, 3-4 CCC) made things tough on the Gulls, who improved to 11-5 overall and 8-0 in the CCC on their seventh consecutive win, in the first 10 minutes of play. That span saw four lead changes, but the visitors used a 19-5 run to open up a 12-point cushion at intermission.
Senior guard Zach Ellis (Westford, MA/Westford Academy) dropped in a game-high 23 points on 7-of-14 shooting from beyond the arc, while junior forward Nemanja Marinkovic (Belgrade, Serbia & Montenegro/Second Baptist School, TX) added a double-double (14 points, 10 rebounds) and junior forward Mike Sullivan (Marshfield, MA/Marshfield) put home 11 points and pulled down eight boards.
Ryan Jaziri (Norwich, CT) sank a team-high 15 points, Bobby Montrond (Brockton, MA) chipped in 12 points and Patrick Quinn (Holbrook, NY) finished with 10 points.
