Endicott Field Hockey Earns NFHCA Academic Awards

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team has been honored with the 2020 NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Award, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA). The Gulls also saw 20 student-athletes named to the 2020 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad, and three members earn NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction. 

The Division III National Academic Team Award recognizes programs that earned a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester of the 2020-2021 school year.

The Gulls have now earned this distinction for the 14th year in a row and are one of seven Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) institutions to be named to the list.

Meanwhile, The Division III National Academic Squad program honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the 2020-2021 academic year.

Earning those honors this season were seniors Lauren Whitney (Poway Calif.)Samantha Brown (Byfield, Mass.)Lily Smith (Middlebury, Vt), and Jaylin Grabau (Lynnfield, Mass.), juniors Sydney Poulin (Watertown, Mass.) and Abby Carter (Richmond, Vt.), sophomores Rachael Lemay (Westminster, Mass.)Natalie Anderson (Freeport, Maine)Claire Boncek (Hamden, Conn.)Meaghan Hogan (Cheshire, Conn.), and Janet Dickens (Merrimac, Mass.)and freshmen Nicole Williams (Grafton, N.H.)Lily Holmes (Dennis, Mass.)Brook Small (Litchfield, Conn.)Bailey Oliver (York, Maine)Casey Small (Litchfield, Conn.) Celia Mastromattei (Westwood, Mass.)Katie Jablonski (Quabbin, Mass.)Lily Tordone (Barnstable, Mass.), and Meghan Lehouiller (Colchester, Vt.)

The Gulls also saw Grabau, Brown, and Smith earn NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction. 

The Division III Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year.
