Beverly, Mass. - The Endicott football team pulled off a dramatic fourth quarter comeback, defeating Salve Regina 29-28 thanks to dominating performances by junior linebacker \#Nick Scozzaro\# (Wellington, Fla.) and junior quarterback \#Phil Konopka\# (Shelton, Conn.).  For their efforts, the New England Football Conference (NEFC) named both players to the NEFC Honor Roll.

Scozzaro was named a NEFC Defensive Honor Roll player after recording five solo tackles, including three for a loss of 14 yards in the win.  Two of those tackles behind the line of scrimmage were quarterback sacks as he helped bring the Gulls offense back on the field in the fourth quarter through strong defensive stops.  Scozzaro also recovered a fumble in the Seahawks backfield and hurried the quarterback twice.  

Konopka, named to the NEFC Offensive Honor Roll, struggled through the first three quarters of play but drove the Blue and Green offense down the field on three separate drives that resulted in touchdown passes.  The junior connected on touchdown catches to \#Taylor Allen\# (Westboro, Mass.) for 19 yards, \#Neil Powers\# (Westford, Mass.) for 16 yards and the game-winning score to \#Mike Murphy\# (Chelmsford, Mass.) on a 35-yard completion.  Konopka finished the game 24-of-40 for 208 yards, three touchdowns with just one interception.

The Gulls are now 3-1 going into Homecoming Weekend against fellow 3-1 school Curry College, a team they have no beaten in nine seasons.  The game will kickoff at Endicott Stadium on Saturday, October 2 at 1:00 pm.
