George Surabian Named Crew Interim Head Coach

BEVERLY, Mass. – George Surabian has been named interim head coach of the Endicott crew program, as announced by Assistant Vice President, Director of Athletics Dr. Brian A. Wylie.

Surabian brings a wealth of coaching experience to the crew program having served as the head coach of several Winchester, Mass. youth and high school sports programs.

"I am honored to be a part of the Endicott crew program and work side by side with a group of dedicated, committed, and enthusiastic group of student-athletes," said Surabian. "It truly is a Great Day to be a Gull."

A 1978 graduate of Winchester High School, Surabian went on to obtain two Bachelor of Science degrees in biology and psychology from Boston College with cum laude honors in 1982.

He later earned his doctorate from Tufts University of dental medicine in 1986 and completed a general practice residency at the VA Medical Center Brockton/West Peabody, as well as a fellowship in oral surgery at Mass General Hospital.

No stranger to Endicott, Surabian has been a proud member of several College committees and councils including the Campaign Steering Committee, Parent Council (chairman), Planning Study Committee, Parent Fund (chairman), and Parent Council.

Surabian also serves as an adjunct professor in the College's Van Loan School.
