SPRINGFIELD, MA - Defending Commonwealth Coast Champion Endicott has been selected as the favorite to win the 2007 Commonwealth Coast Conference volleyball Championship, it was announced today by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the league's head volleyball coaches.
Endicott (26-13, 9-0 TCCC) received eight-of-the-11 first-place votes in the 2007 TCCC preseason poll. Colby-Sawyer was selected by the coaches as the runner-up in the Conference and received one first-place vote. Gordon was picked third by the coaches and received two first-place votes. Roger Williams and Western New England were picked to finish fourth and fifth, respectively.
Teams received 11 points for every first place vote received, 10 points for second place votes, nine points for third place votes, down to one point for a last place vote. First place votes are shown in parenthesis.
