No. 1 Roger Williams Tops No. 2 Endicott In CCC Championship, 14-8

BRISTOL, R.I — The Endicott women's lacrosse team fell to Roger Williams, 14-8, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship, on Saturday afternoon. 

Trailing, 7-4, after the first half, the Gulls went on a 3-0 run to tie the game at seven. Roger Williams then scored seven out of the game's final eight goals to come away with the win. 

Offensively for Endicott, Kiana Napolitano (Revere, Mass.) and Morgan Pike (Shapleigh, Mass.) led the way with two goals each. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • The Gulls caused 13 Hawks turnovers.  
  • Saturday's matchup was the ninth meeting between the two schools in the CCC championship. 

WHAT'S NEXT 

Roger Williams (6-0) will earn the CCC's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse tournament. Endicott sees their season come to an end at 7-2.
