Endicott continued on its winning streak today cruising past Regis College, 78-55, at home. The Gulls have won every game they've played since defeating three-time defending CCC Champion Salve Regina 2 weeks ago.
Endicott came out hot in the first half with Liz Yuneman (14 points, 5 assists, 3 steals) and Lisa Chartier (12 points, 6 rebounds) putting Endicott up 9-0 in the first 3 minutes of the game. There was no looking back from there as EC went up 23-7 in the first 10 minutes of the game. The Gulls continued their defensive pressure leading to 28 Regis turnovers in the game and a 36-21 half time lead.
The second half was no different as EC played well defensively and shot 47% from the field. The Gulls put the game away in the first 6 minutes of the second half going on a 17-4 run to lead by 28, 53-25. Holly Beth Wojcik (12 points, 7 rebounds) and Kate Harte (12 points, 2 assists) led EC along with Yuneman and Chartier. Also for the first time this season, all 13 Endicott players scored during the game.
Danielle Doherty (10 points, 5 rebounds) and Caitlyn Connolly (18 points, 10 rebounds) led the Regis Pride, whose record drops to 3-12 overall, 3-8 in conference.
Endicott's record advances to 7-1 in CCC play, 9-7 overall. The Gulls are home again on Tuesday hosting cross-town rival Gordon College at 6:00 p.m. The Gulls will be looking for pay back as their only loss in CCC action this year came at the hands of the Fighting Scots in the first semester.
