2012 All-CCC Men’s Tennis Selections

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) released the 2012 All-CCC Men’s Tennis award winners on Friday afternoon and Endicott’s Olivier Joggi (Stoneham, Mass.), Jake Cohen (Barrington, R.I.) and Porter Williams (Raleigh, N.C.) were among the honorees.

Joggi, a junior competing as the Gulls top flighted singles and doubles player, was named to the All-CCC Second Team for singles and the All-CCC Second Team for doubles with his partner Cohen.  In \#1 singles action this season, Joggi went 8-7 overall with a 5-3 record in league matches.  He finished strong over the final seven matches of the year by going 5-2.  In 2011, Joggi was an All-TCCC Honorable Mention winner in singles play.

Joggi and Cohen combined to go 8-7 (6-1 CCC) at the \#1 doubles position and for their efforts were named the All-CCC Second Team for doubles.  The duo dominated league opponents with their only loss coming in a 9-8 to their Roger Williams counterparts back on April 3rd.  Cohen is a first time all-conference winner while Joggi, already honored in singles twice, earned his first doubles award.

Williams, a senior who showed versatility by playing one, two and three singles throughout the year, was honored with his first ever All-CCC award by being named Honorable Mention for singles.  Williams mainly competed at the \#2 spot, going 5-7 overall.  He went 1-1 in \#3 singles too.

Joggi, Cohen, and Williams will lead the Blue and Green into the CCC Tournament as the \#4 seed starting this weekend when they host \#5 Western New England on Saturday at 12:00 pm.
