HILTON HEAD, SC - Endicott College dropped a rain-shortened match to Elmhurst College, 6-0, in the Gulls second match of the season Sunday in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
Josh Schoen (Phoenix, AZ/Arcadia) was beating Dan Faretta, 6-2, 3-1, at first singles when play was suspended.
In other singles action, No. 2 Scott Teller (Granville, NY/Granville) dropped a 2-6, 2-6 decision; No. 3 Gabriel Moraga (Marlboro, CT/Hebron) lost 1-6, 2-6; No. 4 David Micka (Belchertown, MA/Belchertown) was defeated 0-6, 2-6; fifth singles Parker Olen (Falmouth, ME/Falmouth) lost 0-, 1-6; and No. 6 singles Nate Buell (Westfield, MA/Westfield) was defeated in three sets, 6-2, 2-6, 4-6.
Schoen/Morega (3-8), Teller Micka (3-8) and Olen/Mark Maloney (Feeding Hills, MA/Agawam) (5-8) were defeated in doubles action, which only counts for one point.
