Beverly, MA-- The men's tennis team lost to Wentworth, 0-9, in its season finale today. The Gulls, who finish the season with a 1-8 record, began the match by losing the three doubles matches.

The \#3 team of Ben Bettez and Nate Buell was competitive, however, in its 5-8 loss. The Gulls went down in each singles match in straight sets. "Wentworth is a vastly improved team," said Coach Mark Herlihy. "We knew they would be tough. However, our guys, as they have all year, fought to the last point in every match."

The match marked the final on-court appearance of senior co-captain Ben Bettez. "The team will miss Ben immensely," said Herlihy. "He's been a great leader. He's mature, a real gentleman, and someone who represents Endicott well both on and off the court."
